Yeah this is: Alice Coltrane: A Monastic Trio.
Don't know for sure, but I suspect it's from in or around 1968.
Sounds great!

Oh, plug away!
Tapes from my label plus + local stuff! I have another rack filled with random thrift store finds and releases from a couple years ago but local tapes are much more enjoyable imo

this is my second cassette release. i have them made, but im only printing the covers for when i actually get orders because they cost $$$ to get nice quality printing
also it probably sounds like shit but is not particularly common so you should keep onto it
My personal label and the newest tapes we have in. Two more releases should get here by Friday!

These tapes look super nice! got a link to hear the music?
Would anyone be interested in buying this Burzum tape? I don't really listen to my cassettes anymore due to broken tape deck. I only have a few anyways, would rather get this to someone who wants it & pocket some cash.
Besides this all I have is a Blazer Sound System Reggae mix tape & this:

which is out of print forever.
love this goddamn album
Mainly have some local underground rap-releases. I've gotten more since this pic was taken.
i hate to be that guy, because this thread has been so positive, but i have a really hard time not seeing cassettes as stupid. Like the sound quality is worse, they're disconnected from every other way we listen to music now. idk they just seem like a cheap way to make people feel hipster and cool. why do you guys like them?

Every thread this question gets asked.
>It's fun
>supports artist
>physical media is preferable over digital
>low sound quality is beneficial for certain genres
But my personal biggest reason for cassettes is that I love to be removed from modern technology for a bit. When I listen to cassettes on my portable cassette player, it's a very nice feeling, not having music be attached to a phone or computer.

Yes it's kind of a hipster, somewhat pretentious hobby. With that said I just wanna say the sound quality can be pretty much indiscernible from a CD if you're listening to a "good" enough tape on a quality tape deck
>>71005876
yeah your personal reason makes the most sense to me; the other ones really don't. like why not CD's in a walkman? I'm a total physical media fiend, but for me it's all CD's with the occasional vinyl.

Not guy you responded to but since I grew up on cassettes they have a certain charm to me that Cd's only have to a lesser extent. I think cassettes are also just a cooler medium, and I have fun screwing around with tape and doing wonky experiments.
Right now I've taken the top off of my cassette deck so I can slow down and stop the pulleys unravelling the tape as it plays. You can get some pretty fucked up, weird ass sounds and it's just super enjoyable and destressing.
