I don't know whether NIN cool or not, but Broken and The Downward Spiral are two of my favorite albums of all time. And Pretty Hate Machine is very good, too.

However, The Fragile is garbage. I'm not familiar with Trent's music after that album, so I can't say if they are "good" or "cool."

Of course, I'm probably the oldest person posting on this boards, so I don't know what you kids like.
