Title says it all. Things only bad musicians do. I'll start:

>also, people who use presets

I have that synth. It's p fun :3

it's almost too much fun. Sometimes I'll have an idea for a sound I want, and then I get sidetracked and whip up something else and in the end I never finish anything but I have fun making cool sounds :-)

Same here. If you haven't seen it yet, this guy get some amazingly diverse sounds and posts the patch recipes. Definitely some interesting stuff to try emulating.

lol that's pretty much me. Love to make whacky noise sounds with synths, but i hate playing with keyboards. I use presets but tweak them like crazy though

Good musicians use presets all the time. That one is a myth, pretty sure.
I used to believe in it and tweak my presets or synths a lot more than I had to, when the perfect sound was already there in some patch somewhere.
There are people who dedicate a looot of time to making good patches and presets for people to use, why throw their work out of the window?
It's fun to tweak something and make your own sound, but it's equally fun to sometimes just get to the point and use the sound you know you want to hear, and get on with your composing.
I am just one opinion of course. I have been making electronic music for roughly 14 years, maybe a little longer.
