no one here writes. everyone here is hopeless. No one here will ever make it.

>come up with some cheesy chorus
>some really cliche and good hook
>make a verse or two
>play the chorus a lot

heres what you do
I get real fucking drunk
then I fill up about 2 pages of grid notebook paper with something. It can be drawings, words, whatever.
In the morning, I turn whatever is written into something coherant, throw a shitty riff on it, and baby you've got a stew going

I write down every single interesting phrase or abstract thought that comes to mind and it eventually accumulates into a central idea.
Then I just play around with progressions and shit until I have a song. Then I'll usually either trash it or add it to another song I'd already been working on.

have fun never making it
Either I start by noodling around on various instruments until I find something I like or write some lyrics and simultaneously write a melody to it in my head. But then I get depressed and think nobody will ever like it so I erase all of it
I used try to write lyrics that made sense but it felt forced and it sucked, so I just write lyrics that fit to the music I made.
I make frequencies and patches and layer, build it up and make it all sound ebin
