Why is this album so well-respected here
Production is alright, but it's just a basic pop rap album like many other US artist could do
Also lyrics are pretty poor
>Tell 'em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass
More specifically, they can kiss my ass-hole
I'm an asshole? You niggas got jokes
>I don't need your pussy, bitch I'm on my own dick
Whats the point

>Why is this album so well-respected here
Because it's much better than other nu-Kanye projects.

It's still not really interesting
>>70878719
>nu-kanye
>>70878662
>the lyrics are pretty bad
>cherrypicks 2 examples from an album with dozens of memorable lines and verses
Anyway the cheesy one liners and puns is part of the fun with kanye
Honestly think the mu core chat should be updated and either LR or Yeezus should replace it
>bad lyrics
Penitentiary chances, the devil dances
And eventually answers to the call of Autumn
All of them fallin' for the love of ballin'
Got caught with thirty rocks, the cop look like Alec Baldwin
Inter century anthems based off inner city tantrums
Based off the way we was branded
Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon
And at the airport they check all through my bag and
Tell me that it's random
Holy, powers, Austin, Powers
Lost in translation with a whole fuckin' nation
They say I was the obamanation (abomination) of Obama's nation
Well, that's a pretty bad way to start the conversation
what are you smoking?

Yeah I took it out of its context, but even if there's some good phases it's "fun" in its globality, not my vision of a modern masterpiece

>Why is this album so well-respected here

You answered your own question.
People like his production.
It's ALWAYS the production. If you're going to Kanye for his lyrics and not his beats you're going for the wrong reason.

>it's just a basic pop rap album
lmao

I didn't think it was enough to considered as the best album of the last decade

>I didn't think it was enough to considered as the best album of the last decade
It probably isn't.
And it probably shouldn't be.
I'm just saying that's the main appeal of the album.
