What are the best live albums or songs performed on stage?
Absolutely Live (1970) by The Doors is 10/10. It was the only live album produced while Jim Morrison was alive.
When The Music's Over is particularly great live version of the track. It's a New York audience and he jokes around with them and insults them for being loud during the quiet buildups.

fuck yes
Roy Orbison IMO has the greatest singing voice I have ever heard and his live albums capture how incredible he was. Don't listen to his studio albums tho, they don't sound as good as his live shit

Deerhoof has some pretty great live material. Live & Goodies (2007) has some cool stuff, FEVER121614 is great too.

You can find many bootlegs that sound just as good as absolutely live (ie live at the bowl '68).

One of my favorites, this album makes me wish that Dead was on any studio albums because this is the best they've ever sounded
