Should I even bother to fuck around in FL Studio if I cannot play instruments? I played around a little bit but the stuff I can come up with sucks hard and I run out of ideas after 5 seconds. Will reading the music theory stuff in the wiki help or will I forever remain a pleb?

You'll probably develop music theory by yourself if you keep going at it blind. But it does help to read music theory.

So if I simply keep playing around, the crap I make will turn into less smelly crap over time?

Yes. Practice helps everything, especially things you are teaching yourself alone.

Okay thx anon

No, learn music theory and buy a real instrument
>>70868182
That helps definitely
But since he's using a DAW it's not a necessity
Learning mixing is important though
yes
any self-respecting modern musucian should know how to use at least one DAW

A week of music theory research would save years of time in fl studio. Fl studio will only teach you how to make certain sounds better and of course mixing.

not true
you can understand everything 10 times faster when you have a midi piece opened in FL's piano roll, grampa

I have a lot of experience in fl studio, it doesnt teach shit about composition.

nah just quit now. stream video games or do youtube vlogs or some shit thats equally as useless as making music.
