I posted this in a Mount Eerie thread before but got no replies so I'm trying again

I can't stand this guy's music simply because when he starts singing he sings out of tune. Everything else is great, but Phil can't fucking sing and it ruins all the melodies in his songs

How can you stand the fact that he always sing out of tune?

It's endearing to me, especially in the Microphone's days.

The whole lo fi (and I hate this word) aesthetic he goes for compliments his kind of weak, timid, boyish voice quite well. Just don't think someone considered a 'good' singer would've fit with the instrumental sound he's known for.
