one of the most under-rated bands ever....no one ever talks about them.
its a crime that they werent HUGE.
original, unique sound.
unbelievable musicianship.
paved the way for many new bands both with sound and look.

they are what bowie should have been in the 80s
Japan's a country, not a bad.
Don't be silly, anon
Actually a few years ago i was really into david sylvans solo work which is way superior to japan.
Its like if bowie had become even more pretensions and experimental.
I made threads about it back then but mu never bites

Woah dude/dudette THANK YOU!!!
I think I've just found a new love.
>>70840631
It would've meant no Belew after the Discipline trilogy, and as much as I like THRAK, I could get behind that if it would've meant Sylvian in the band.
>>70840753
hey no worries! i love turning people on new music... glad you like it!
>>70840472
hey this is great, I ignored them for a long tie cause they seemed like typical neoromantic garbage. interesting stuff, cheers op
>>70840472

i like sylvian's solo work, especially with sakamoto quite a lot more than japan itself
the quiet life and tin drum are my favourite albums. tin drum is a bit of a masterpiece.
Best Sylvian solo album coming through.
