He also didn't make music specifically for your interests. It's just a cover album, he did it because he liked the songs. It's not perfect but it exists. I don't see why you need to hold a grudge against it. I hate Tin Machine II, but I don't pretend it doesn't exist, and I respect how it helped Bowie recover from his writer's slump and his loss of interest in music.
