HOOM is better

One big problem: her voice. It's very annoying. This album could have been improved if Grimes performed the vocals.

Strum me away to fantasy land you magniloquent minstrel. My boner increases in girth with each wheat-fingered fleck of your yew-stringed lullaby maker.
And that voice, it's like angels fingering each other in helium heaven while pedophiles masturbate in hell.
Yes this album has it all. Oh, how I pine for a life in Narnia where I can see the computer generated deepthroating lion or make love to bizzaro Galadriel, and this album makes it a reality + mescaline.
Stand naked in a half full bubblebath and pour this album over yourself like oil paint. Rub it into your filthy body, and always remember to scrub behind your ears and underneath your nuts.

read this in Roy Harpers voice

HOOM is too long. Everything in it is good, but the flow of Ys is better and gives a much closer approach to Jo's life in a much more concise way. Also Only Skin is her best song.
The Milk-Eyed Mender is better.

Life is too short to listen to 1+ hour long albums made by women
>>70829446
Sounds like if Van Dyke Parks was a girl
>>70830846
I wonder if you are being a cheeky cunt or what.

Running time: 55 minutes.
Nice try, yo.

I know he worked on with her. The fact that she cant even have her own image without copying him makes he hate her music but shes still hot
>>70830973
>hot
Yikes. And her lyricism is still distinct enough.
it's great though i prefer this

>>70829446
Where? Behind the Joanna Newsom bore?
What's your guys favorite moment of the best song on the album AKA only skin?
>ALL MY BONES THEY ARE GONE, GONE, GONE
>TAKE MY BONES, I DON'T NEED NONE
tears every fucking time
>>70837342
>I have got some business out at the edge of town,
>candy weighing both of my pockets down
>till I can hardly stay afloat, from the weight of them
>and knowing how the commonfolk condemn
>what it is I do, to you, to keep you warm:
>Being a woman. Being a woman.

>>70837342
>Rowing along among the reeds, among the rushes
>I heard your song before my heart had time to hush it

Here's another.
I think it's so weird that her, super serious musician, is married to the man who made jizz in my pants.
but then again he's probably super nice.
>>70837342
Gonna sound really corny, but Ys is literally the only album that always gives me an emotional reaction.
The first bit of Only Skin, especially, when her voice shrieks always makes my hairs stand on end. And the sudden "last week our picture window produced a half word" part always gets me.
>>70840779
I know what you mean. I get the same feeling as when I was a tiny little kid listening to tapes of the brothers grimm and HC andersen adventures. Feel like I'm walking through a snowcoated pine forest in bright moonlight about to get into some narnia-esque adventure.
>>70840779
i feel you man, there's something about her music that always makes me feel emotional.
>>70840745
HOW COME I DIDNT KNOW THIS WTF
>>70842097
you must be new around here
someone inevitably mentions him in every thread about joanna
