Thoughts on The Downward Spiral?
objectively one of the best produced albums of the 90's
One of the best, if not THE best, album of the 90s.
>inb4 "HURR DURR THE LYRICISM SUX"
before saying that, think about if your only frame for good lyricism is /mu/core shit, and then realize that that's not the only way to be a good lyricist

Fantastic.

agreed, only a few other albums come close, and the lyricism is great
I WANNA FUCK YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL

>Trent plays Ruiner live
"OH MY GOD!" OH MY GOD!"
tfw when I was younger, Eraser was the scariest song imaginable and I made it scarier by thinking that in the final seconds as Trent's screaming "KILL ME" turned into static, he's saying "SAVE ME!" in the static

I think you'll like it.
>that song Trent was going to put in just before the track 'The Downward Spiral' with the only lyrics being: "Just do it, nobody cares."
My third favorite song off Atrocity Exhibtion

>as Trent's screaming "KILL ME" turned into static
literally my favorite part of the album
How much of an influence do you guys think Foetus had on his stuff?
>>70811567
>one-man-band of theatrical industrial rock
the similarities end there, but i feel like trent must have at least respected thirlwell
>>70809453
His peak sellout album; Closer was the perfect example of his transition from someone doing interesting shit to someone doing 'edgy' crap that fratboys and kids in their early teens could scream along to.

>but i feel like trent must have at least respected thirlwell
There are remixes by Thirlwell on Fixed, so he probably likes his music
>>70809453
GOTTA FIGURE IT OUT
>>70811567
not so much, Trent loves Foetus but he never adapted Foetus' chaotic style, his biggest influence by far is Coil, I am pretty sure he must also have heard Psychic TV since he liked Pink Floyd too
>>70811668
>I am pretty sure he must also have heard Psychic TV
Wasn't Psychic TV the ones that made that fake snuff film that was basically the inspiration for the Broken movie?

Masterpiece
He is new eno

wtf are you saying?
Closer is one of the most sexy/creepiest songs ever
The video (directors cut) is pretty good
