Best musical in a long long time?
It had me from the opening notes. Took a real life girl to see it and it was a perfect blend of jazz and pop.
I don't know how /mu/ feels about musicals in general. But whatever I liked it.

best part of this movie was when it was over
dishonest filmmaking
It was definitely about LA naivety and broad sweeps of emotion.
I like Devin Townsend, Zappa, and Beefheart stuff... but I dig on Britney Spears and Selena tunes too. So maybe I'm just a fag.

I like the old Rogers/Hammerstein ones. I dig a lot of the classic stuff. Love Sweeney Todd, Sondheim in general is pretty good. Some Webber but not much. Urinetown, Avenue Q, Book of Mormon etc.
Very underwhelmed by Hamilton. First two songs are the best.
I am doing 'Million Dollar Quartet' and even though its Cash/Presley tunes I was more inspired to go on stage and do my thing.

Grease is the fuckin word lads
Pretty much everyone I know dislikes it without seeing it because it's a musical. I loved it though, the songs are sticking with me more than I thought.
