Back when he was in Big Black he definitely used more pedals. Namely a harmonic percolator, and definitely some delay pedal with particular settings. I play guitar and use pedals but I don't even remember what it was. Some friends and I figured it out one time by messing around with delay pedals. But I remember it wasn't anything complicated it just had to do with changing the wet and dry signals.
