>>70728448
hahahah okey kid
>>70726700
I'm listening to it now. Thanks a lot.
Chart threads get really repetitive after a while. I wish there were more nufags doing top 100's, I want to know what everyone likes without the /mu/tant influence.
>Ya'll showed me Nick Drake though that was a pretty good solid
>>70730428
I think these threads are about recommending more obscure examples of whatever kind of /mu/core is on the person's chart.
>>70730517
Okay sure, but what can anybody recommend except for more /mu/core? At the end of the day, if you listen to 75 albums /mu/ told you about, and 25 albums you discovered from alternative means, that's a 25% percent chance that someone could recommend you something worthwhile. And that's being generous, that 25%.
It kind of makes me sad, because I've enjoyed a lot of what are considered to be classics since I was a kid because my dad was so into music. Doors, Portishead, Refused, My Bloody Valentine, Led Zeppelin, etc etc etc. It makes me kinda sad to find out that music snobs are all just kind of stagnating and talking about those same 100 albums. Over. And over. And over.

>>70730662
Dude, your chart's made up more of the same old shit than anyone else's in this topic. What the fuck are you talking about? Also there's no reason to not talk or enjoy the same musical work as someone else if it's actually good on its own merit; saying otherwise is going into special snowflake territory.
PLEASE REC ME

>>70730739
You're quantifiably wrong, but okay whatever.
>>70730662
Even then, there's still some /mu/ core that I still haven't heard just because I haven't gotten around to it. I try my best to rec semi-obscure stuff exclusively though, can't say i've always succeeded but whatever
>>70731029
>having the most mainstream shit of every genre in their chart
>"quantifiably wrong"
Pretty sure if we were to say...count together the amount of followers on last.fm or spotify of any chart of here, yours would be ridiculously far ahead of the game from anyone else's in this topic.
>>70730739
I don't think anon's point is "consensus is bad". I think the point is that /mu/'s tastes are easily mapped out to the point of formula, and straying away from that bubble is not a road often tread.
lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>>70731126
>Accusing me of being a special little snowflake for not suckling at the teet of a nieche audience that masturbates itself raw
>Telling me my opinions are invalid because I'm not so up my ass that I actually enjoy music that many people like
It's kind of hard to understand what you're trying to convince me of when you can't decide.
>>70725797
Almendra but that recs kinda obvious
Aquelarre?
>>70731232
>accusing me of being a special little snowflake
Nope. Where the hell did you get that from? I was only saying that trying to have unique taste just for sake of having a unique taste leads into special snowflake syndrome.
>>70731164
See, this is why I usually specialize the charts I post here rather than just a Top 100. For example I personally know exactly where to go in order to be able to dig deep to find the stuff I like in classical, jazz, punk and metal genres (stuff I listen to on a daily basis.) But I am comparatively far newer to more "electronic" forms of music, so my charts these days usually have a variety of that kind of music, and I get recs from there, which lead me towards further exploration in terms of what I really like and where to find what I like (ex. figuring out the record label or method of distribution for a rec from here that I enjoyed.)
At one point though in a particular form of music, if you know what you're looking for, chart threads won't be the best option, it'll be RYM, Discogs, Last.fm, along with whatever labels/distribution stuff you found that keeps track of releases; that'll help you find the stuff you're looking for.

and Cleopatra, Octavian was in a position to rule the entire Republic under an unofficial principate — but he had to achieve this through incremental power gains. He did so by courting the Senate and the people while upholding the republican traditions of Rome, appearing that he was not aspiring to dictatorship or monarchy. Marching into Rome, Octavian and Marcus Agrippa were elected as dual consuls by the Senate.
Years of civil war had left Rome in a state of near lawlessness, but the Republic was not prepared to accept the control of Octavian as a despot. At the same time, Octavian could not simply give up his authority without risking further civil wars among the Roman generals and, even if he desired no position of authority whatsoever, his position demanded that he look to the well-being of the city of Rome and the Roman provinces. Octavian's aims from
