he's hit or miss. arriving somewhere, happy returns, drive home, raven... these have good lyrics that hit me in the feels. but some of his best grooves like hatesong, halo and a bunch of stuff on the FOABP album have cringey lyrics

i never found the xbox line that funny though really, the repeated stuff about 'getting stoned in the mall' was much more cringe. or this clunker: 'my friend says he wants to die/ he's in a band/ they sound like pearl jam/ their clothes are all black/ the music is crap'

"Luminol" is pretty good. I kinda don't like the scat singing on "Happy Returns" but I can get over it and I think that's just a matter of personal taste.
