The problem with shoegaze is that after you discover Loveless you realize there's really nothing good as it out there. All other "shoegaze" is either a pathetic imitation of MBV or a different genre altogether.

What would you recommend, friend? I have been listening to Mac DeMarco but after a single listen through his albums, it just is shittty

How is that relevant to shoegaze

Sorry for shilling my own music. I hope you guys enjoy it. We're more metal than shoegaze, but we're all fans of the genre and it has definitely influenced our sound.

Nigga that isn't dream pop

What would you describe it as? srry42pleb

No worries. Always looking for more music. Sounds good!

Mac Demarco is like...indie rock or jangle pop i guess. Not really dream-y or shoegazing
give Nowhere by Ride a listen though.
Nowhere by Ride is just brit pop with reverb, nothing special honestly. Going Blank Again is so much better.

Laborer dude here. Thanks for the feedback! Here's some rather obscure shoegaze from our town in return.

Huh, haven't heard the "shoegaze that doesn't sound exactly like Loveless isn't even shoegaze" twist on this meme before. Neat.

Drummer is obviously all over the place but if you don't look at him it somehow sounds better. Just know that that will probably put a lot of people off of this right away. I'm actually kinda into sloppy, noisy, mistake-riddled rock so I can dig it but just saying. Also listened to River, like a minute in I thought it was the most boring thing ever and then two minutes in I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever even though basically nothing at all had changed. So there's that.
I'll probably check out your other demos later, blackgaze isn't really my cup of tea but you have an interesting enough sound that it's worth a listen.

The problem with prog is that after you discover in the court of the crimson king you realize there's really nothing good as it out there. All other "prog rock" is either a pathetic imitation of king crimson or a diffrent genre altogether
