Just like american pop, kpop isnt any different. Both are very strong and popular that any indie, rock, etc are underground with low sales and a small following. There are still there, you just have to specifically search for them on youtube.

I've did my part and found very good ones but do not have them on my hands right now.

I like traditional korean folk but I'm not sure how traditional my recordings are.
