thee oh sees
13th floor elevators
ty segall / fuzz / wand
jay reatard / the reatards
the action
white fence
What's the one that's not the best KGLW album?
>>70648900
MAH NIGGA
>>70650427
>Reatards among all that shit you listed
Jay deserves more respect than this
>>70650833
>implying jay reatard isn't on par with thee oh sees and ty segal
don't be fucking stupid
A Weird Exits was my arty last year, what an amazing album. I didn't not enjoy a single song on it. I've never been able to get into KGATLW though, idk why since I love thee oh sees so much.

His later stuff is bad but all the Reatards and Lost Sounds stuff is leagues above anything Ty or Thee Oh Sees have ever done
>>70650958
how the fuck do you compare Jay's straightforward punk bands and Thee Oh Sees? They have different vibes, man. I put them in two different boxes. Thee Oh Sees are more of a jam band right now and they are mostly psych with a krautrock vibe. The Reatards are mostly punk with a blues vibe.
this shit kicks serious ass

It is. Blood Visions is not a good record.
white fence is way more underrated than it should be. this shit is like a modern reboot of the soft boys. fucking great

also his solo album from last year is great too. not sure why journalists are all over ty and thee oh sees yet they completely overlook him.

Strongly disagree
His older stuff sounds too generic and similar to Oblivians
>>70653312
The only record he made that sounds like the oblivians is teenage hate
It's all pretty fun, but I really wish all the bands didn't all have the same neo-psychedelia indie pop teen dreamy vocals. It creates a needless dichotomy between fans of these revival bands and the old garage and psych stuff from the 60s and 70s. The only ones I've listened to that at least try to sound authentic are King Gizzard.
