KKB touches on a lot of interesting subject matter, they've just cloaked it beyond a veil of humor and very happy sunshiney production. I honestly thought Bonito Generation was just a meme album but I gave it a serious listen the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. I highly suggest if you like Grimes and citypop, you listen to it. I would not be surprised if Grimes was going to draw inspiration from it for her next album, considering she wants a slow, focused, introspective album.
