I really don't listen to 70s and 60s, so I can name less than a handful of artists from those 20 years. Plus 00s makes me cringe except for the few 10/10 albums I grew up with.

I don't hate the 70s or any decade really; like every other generation the 70s had some great underground scenes and a lot of genres entered a nascent stage that would later develop into incredible music, but pop music, especially rock, took some nasty turns IMO. Easy listening and MOR got huge in this decade, and smooth jazz, country rock, glam rock, early early electronic and hip hop are not genres I'm big on at all. I like the punk and punk influenced movements the most probably, pretty much all of black music was great (funk, R&B, soul) but the epitome of bad soft rock emerged here (Barry Manilow, the Osmonds, Rod Stewart). I strongly dislike Wings and a lot of prog rock

>>70625029
Outsider house and whatever other current meme genres /bleep/ circlejerks over are a pale imitation of the real scenes from the late 80's and the 90's.
The 10's have been more creatively bankrupt than the 80's so far.

If we're talking mainstream, then corporate rock was a defining "movement" of the 80s. those bands are good, yes, but they're not corporate rock at all.
