Within Kanye's catalog, sure it may be comparatively minimalist next to his other works, but that doesn't make it minimalism. I understand the argument being made in the image but it falls flat. I do actually enjoy Yeezus btw but it's got a ton of harmonic movement, lots of dynamic textures, a huge variety of vocalists, it takes no cues from gamelan, etc. It's missing the hallmarks of minimalist composition. Also I enjoy Laraaji, he's black and a minimalist, so please do not falsely bring race into this. I just think it's ridiculous to call Yeezus minimalism.
