Shortly after Exmilitary came out my then girlfriend found "Guillotine" and sent it to me in a "what the fuck is this?" text. I didn't care for it either but I listened to the whole mixtape a couple times and liked it well enough. Didn't really give them a second look until I heard "Hustle Bones" a year or so later, then I was hooked.

The whole time I was thinking "this is overwhelmingly average". Everything seemed really boring. Ride seemed too mixed out in some songs and the whole style seemed really repetitive (i.e. up my sleeves up my sleeves up my sleeves).
I couldn't help being interested though so I later listened to the money store and then exmilitairy. Exmil was the first album that I started to like, and after listening to each again I started to love them.

it was after The Money Store, I watched the I've Seen Footage and The Fever music videos. I remember watching them and being really not sure if I liked it and I didn't feel like I understood it like it kind of washed over me but for some reason I wanted to watch it again the next day. After about a week I had downloaded the album and was into it.
