cuz you spent hours listening to it
it works with "normal" music from vidya too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA4AyaQa-rQ
It isn't.
Videogames remind you of a better life.
Videogames never bully you.
Videogames never cheat on you.
Videogames never say mean things about you behind your back.
Videogames are there for you when your parents are fighting.
Videogames will never say no to you when you want to hang out.
Videogames are always there for you when you need them.

This
Vidya music is still just music, it can't be inherently better or worse than anything else

Video game music (at least for AAA stuff) is composed by old people with years and years of experience and college degrees in composition.
But when they're not composed by those people, I think it has to do with not worrying about accessibility
Like pop music has to follow certain rules to be consumed by a large amount of people
I think one of these rules is that they're applicable to people in any situation
Pop songs are purposely ambiguous I guess
Video game music doesn't have to worry about that
They only have to worry about capturing a specific feeling for a specific situation so they're composed with more power.
idk kinda making this up as i go
It's easy.
Video game music is designed to be engaging and memorable because you're immersed in the experience.
They have to pull you in and keep you there.

Hey there newfag

Why are people stupid enough to actually take the OP so seriously? This just how a lot of people on 4chan in general post shit.
bc it's just music with strong metal connections
esp with shit that has the SE tempo locked with the BGM (ex. smb)

To be fair. I'd only been on /b/ for a while before coming here

this sounds pretty reasonable. Vidya music is probably mostly consumed by people who are only exposed to it and pop music, and don't know is a ton of better music out there that doesn't fit the pop formula
