That's probably my favorite era of theirs, I imagine The Pod and Pure Guava as GWS that got progressively more twisted and drugged out until they developed this really freaky sound that hasn't been done before. They still stayed very unique after that era, and you could probably argue that they became better songwriters, but that druggy lo-fi sound is fantastic and I wish they made at least one more album like that.
