I appreciate that you're actually able to defend your opinion, but there isn't really a "Gorillaz sound." Gorillaz doesn't really sound like Demon Days, which doesn't really sound like Plastic Beach, which doesn't really sound like D Sides, which doesn't really sound like The Fall.

From The Fall and D Sides it's pretty obvious that Damon wants to go in a more experimental direction, and not everyone who likes their early stuff is going to like that.
