And the track itself is good. The issue is the singer's style doesn't mesh with it.

I like it a lot, especially the hook. I don't understand why it's getting so much hate honestly. It's not as "experimental" as people are claiming at least not any more so than most Gorillaz track and it's not so ridiculously political that it detracts from the enjoyment of the song.

It's flat out not that great of a song, but also it just goes to show yet again that people will complain about an artist not making music, and the minute they do they get upset about it because it doesn't sound like the popular hits. But regardless of that, I honestly don't care for this song that much but it's something rather then nothing.

It's not even going to be on an album (similar to 911), but the video was obviously last minute and any empowerment they're trying to give with it is immediately lost with *SpongeBob* at the end, of all things.

IMO, the song itself feels like a weird mesh, but I can understand the appeal of how it sounds.

It kinda sucks that the first impression a lot of Gorillaz we're getting after 5-6 years is heavy in-your-face political commentary at a time when that's what's currently dividing us most, though. Gorillaz has always been political, of course, I'm not gonna say they weren't, but even Dirty Harry felt less blatant about it.
