This is seriously what we liked back then? How embarrassing...
>>70438967
Tip: Just because an album is mucore doesnt mean that it is automatically good/bad, it all depends on your preferences and /mu/core was always about introducing new people to music frequently discussed on /mu/
Remember when everyone was trying to add Smile to the /mu/core on top
i'm not going to lie, when I first saw this I was amazed. "look at all this music i've missed" I've only listened to maybe 20% of the entire chart.
Was this before or after Hospice was considered top /mu/core?
I've been on /mu/ since 2012 and I've only heard 19 of those albums. Of that 19 all but maybe 5 came from the classics section and I'd already heard them before coming to /mu/.
There are maybe 10 other albums on there that I've heard a few tracks from but not the whole album.
>2005 was 20 years ago

before
>>70439224
>>70439374
some good stuff on there
>>70439224
how have you not heard almost everything on there. shitt half of the classics section would be playing in any record store/on the radio, and spending any time around other 20-somethings should take care of the rest
>2005 was 2005 years ago
/mu/core was a mistake

Seriously, I'm glad we as a board have matured and only listen to good, mature music like Kanye West, Car Seat Headrest, Death Grips, and Kero Kero Bonito

its actually not bad
was /mu/ actually good 11 years ago? I came here around 2011 after spending my childhood on /b/
>>70439855
It's actually a shitty chart that ame was trying to force from around 2013
>>70439926
it's probably the least shitty chart I've seen that isn't about a specific genre or artist
>>70438967
This was the /mu/core chart when I arrived in 2012. Things really haven't changed much, although certain albums oscillate in and out of favor. And Ken is no longer a big meme.
>>70439855
...this comment made me realize I've been coming here since '07
fuck me
I love the lack of Swans on these charts
>>70440004
I was 17 or 18 by the time I discovered /mu/, honestly it probably would have been (slightly) better on my mental health if I had started browsing /mu/ in 2007 instead of /b/
dumping some ancient memes.
>>70440008
Soundtracks for the Blind was sub-/mu/core but the general board population didn't gave a fuck about Gira until he released The Seer.
>>70440066
>>70440053
hah yeah it took me a while to actually come to mu and browse it regularly
I've barely come here in the last, what, five years
still one of the best boards simply because of how much good shit you find out
>mfw used to enjoy radiohead a lot along with classical and indie rock, ended up listening exclusively to downtempo, ambient and drill trap instrumentals
>>70439758
death grips is a good band
>>70440172
beautiful
We haven't changed much
