SATAN SATAN SATAN
You are right in pointing out that their discography isn't worth as much as history claims (listening to their post-locust stuff is wasting time) but psychic powerless and their self-titled ep are indeed good, probably better than locust, in fact. Rembrandt pussyhorse isn't half bad, same for the cream corn ep
Afterwards they got pretty bad, lost their edge and even sometimes became annoying to listen (and not in a cool way)

Actually their post-Locust stuff got mixed reception at best. They had a few "big" songs like Pepper or Who Was In My Room Last Night but no one ever really took them seriously. Not joking when I say I think a lot of that had to do with their name.

Yeah, i know. Thing is that the albums as works weren't as good and you can understand fans/critics being dissapointing, and at the same time the crossover appeal the "hits" had was a novelty thing that wasn't enough to make them a huge altern-rock band. Just a shit era for them imo

I actually like Independent Worm Saloon and Electriclarryland. Just because they were'nt as edgy doesn't mean they still didn't make good music.
hairway to stevens great. i like most of the stuff they put out.
