Why don't you like this as much as you should /mu/?
But I do.
Because every time I plan on listening to it I just decide to listen to Nation Time instead
I went to a Matt Wilson Quartet concert the other day and it was really great, but then he started going on about Obama and fake news and racism so I kind of lost interest.
But mate, it's my fav jazz album....
I listened this four times yesterday and still quite don't get it, it's not quite substantial and thick for me, i guess. Is there some backdoors for getting into free jazz? I liked something like Art Ensemble of Chikago's 'Theme de Yoyo', it was less 'so random' (I also believe it was 'creative jazz', not 'free') but allowed itself some weirding-outs.
I enjoy it quite a bit
I'm a pleb who likes The Shape Of Jazz To Come more.

It's pretty accessible by Free Jazz standards, I prefer other later albums, mostly leaniang to Free Improv.

I recommend you their People In Sorrow album.

Imo Pharoah Sanders and Albert Ayler are easier to get into
Still love Free Jazz tho
