I respect the abilities of the musicians involved, but I find Dream theater extremely unpleasant to listen to.

Scenes From a Memory was their most cohesive, accessible, and important release.

I enjoyed Awake and Imags and Words, but they sound really dated.

I still unironically enjoy their music from time to time. It made me a better musician in high school.

I have a similar opinion. When I was taking drum lessons 13 years ago, my instructor was really into Dream Theater, so I bought a couple of their albums out of curiosity.

Great musicianship. I just don't care for that style of music.
