Or more accurately, things you wouldn't admit you like, because it would ruin your hipster creed.
Figure I'll just get the one we can all agree on out of the way first.

Great album. Danger Days is great too.
Really great rock hobbled by a shit name and a cringe act and fan base.
>>70356025
>don't wanna be an American idiot
LOL but you are, you are!
>>70356025
I should explain. This album is extremely nostalgic for me seeing as how it's the first album which I really listened to. then I revisited it in my edgy teen years. I related to and was really moved by the stories in Jesus of Suburbia and in Homecoming. Now I just hear a few catchy tunes, but it will always be uber nostalgic for me
I've gotten less ashamed of it recently. It's really fucking great pop.
>>70356025
Its a well written Rock album inspired by normie music like the who but its good, except for the actual song American Idiot anyway.
Also the broadway was absolutely horrible.
Whatsername is great song.
OP is correct. Also this one but no guilt
Im a sucker for acoustic grunge
>>70356133
That album is a solid 9 anon
This as well as a lot of other pop-punk

Some forgettable pop punk numbers on here but some fucking incredible ones too

Unironically love the shit out of this album, along with Danger Days, Three Cheers and Bullets. MCR are a fine band.

Agree with all except Danger Days, didn't really feel like MCR.
Everything else is great though, if it wasn't for their cringy hot-topic fanbase I feel like they'd be pretty critically acclaimed.
>>70356121
Same here. Their whole discography's fucking great. Especially the EPs' electro-ambient tracks.
>>70355884
Are you me?
I like to eat shit too really a guilty pleasure of mine
these threads always just end up being pop punk threads. anyway this. their second album might be the most undeserving pretentious piece of shit i've ever listened to but their first album is almost a perfect little pop album if they just cut a few songs out and made it tighter.
Coldplay. I love Coldplay.
Even their new album. Amazing Day and Birds are two of their best tracks
My favorite genre is crunkcore but I won't ever admit it to anyone IRL.
Most crunkcore artists are shit though, besides Dot Dot Curve and (old) brokeNCYDE.
>>70359169
Give it a decade for people to forget about the fanbase and MCR will become acclaimed. It's happened before (see: Oasis).

ur right, Bullets, Three Cheers & TBP are classics but DD was like ehhhhh
>>70362435
DD was a nice way to top off their career imo
>bullets/three cheers - "there's nothing wrong with being fucked up its cool we're as fucked up as you"
>TBP - "I know you guys are struggling, but it's alright you can get through your shit like we did, it's ok to be happy"
>DD - "Yewww we all made it I told you we'd all be happy lets party motherfuckers!"
They like went into the emo scene, grabbed those kids by their hearts, dragged them into the light and taught them how to be happy again.

As for myself I'd say my only "Guilty" pleasure is a few tracks from Iggy Azalea like 'Goddess'. Most of the music I listen to I'm not ashamed to like, mainly Post-Punk.
>>70361571
>Lostprophets

Only insecure little boys have guilty pleasures or concern over 'hipster cred' for that matter
>>70362595
>charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a one-year-old girl

six involving taking, making or possessing indecent images of children and one of possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a sex act on an animal
>he sent an SMS text message to the mother of one, saying: "If you belong to me, so does your baby."
>Watkins had referred to his sex offences as being "mega lolz" in a recorded phone call
bruh
Honestly, I still listen to most of these albums unironically in my 30s.
No fucks given.

I'm a sucker for yellowcard
I think I'd only be embarrased of pic related. Like, I know it's plain bad and cringy as fuck, but there's something in its fakeness and catchy tunes that makes me a sucker for it.
I've got so many guilty pleassures, so I'll just post a list of albums or some shit like that;
>Blink-182 - Dude Ranch
>Blink-182 - Cheshire Cat
>Blink-182 - Self-titled
>MxPx - Life in general
>MxPx - Secret weapon
>Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
>Yellowcard - When you're through thinking, say yes
>Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue Acoustic
>Everything from BillyTalent
>Everything from Green Day up to 2004
>Everything from Neck Deep
>Everything from Seaway
>Everything from the Wonder Years
>Everything from Foo Fighters
>Everything from Knuckle Puck

I know it got the fuck shilled out of it on here a while back but I really like this one
>inb4 "t. Guy who made seance"
>>70364255
Weren't a big fan of that album tbqh. Only song I really liked were Space Travel.
>>70362194
10/10 album anon you kidding me
the track listing doesnt have one bad song on it.
It's not particularly normie, but honestly, since I started deviating from metal I realized most of my music "snob" friends really shit on Metallica, and on me when I put a song from them.
Oh, also City of Evil by Avenged Sevenfold
>>70364375
Would bro the fuck out with. It's their best album, fuck the contrarians.
Also A7X are pretty interesting tbqh. Pretty diverse for a mainstream rock/metal band. Great musicianship too.
>>70364267
I can't get past the shitty production. I don't mind lo-fi stuff but I feel like it really hinders the quality of the music here
Shhh, don't tell anyone.....

Tally Hall, it's like "The Turtles if they were high at any and all parts of production", but in the end, it's just indie rock.
>all these people who don't love Danger Days itt
Give it a few more listens and ignore the silly Wolfman Jack bumps. Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back is the best song on the album.
It's really a shame that they broke up. MCR was a damn good rock band.
This whenever I am not in Austalia
completely unashamed.
>>70365495
Yes lad. Paradise edition makes it even better.

>Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back is the best song on the album.
That literally gives me chills to this day. Among their best ever songs desu.

>>70362194
nothing guilty about this
>>70365985
Not gonna lie the homesick album was fucking tight.
>>70364475
what's guilty about this? this album is great
>>70357396
Seriously? Everything else in this thread i can somehow understand but Poets of the Fall? What it is about them that you find compelling?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yHuuBZgif0
>>70356121
i feel bad that I feel like this album goes to shit as soon as it tries to do anything ambitious. i feel like that that's probably insulting to an artist, but the first chunk of songs of this are so good because they are so self-aware. it's fully embracing that their their british boy band full of hearth throbs and it's having a lot of fun with it. but then all the momentum just dies way earlier than halfway through and the album just wanders aimlessly from there. i know they were going for something, i just don't find it nearly as interesting as they do.
>>70362887
>>70362595
Do you remember that videoclip of them being in some kind of kids show but backstage all kinds of messy shit going on? Huh
>>70356859

>>70364941

>>70364193
>No One for the Kids or Paper Walls
>>70355884
I honestly wish I could have rock (indie rock, emo, pop-punk, progressive rock, "an attempt was made at an AC/DC sound", etc.) as my guilty pleasure, but I just can't, I really can't listen to the stuff anymore. Ever since I started listening to hip-hop, I started getting interested in many other genres, except rock, which other than a few fusion artists (that are less rock and more blues for example), I stopped listening to completely.
Fuck, why? It was a big part of my growing up, my dad was a fucking dadrocker. To think that I can't enjoy it anymore, it's depressing.
I'll just go cry in the corner and listen to some Joji now.
>>70369660
I was similar (except I never listened to fucking Joji). Have you went through the actual classics? Not dad rock but shit like Bowie and the Velvet Underground/Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, and the Talking Heads and shit? Cause that's what got me back into enjoying rock music again.
>>70356025
when i go back to this album the only songs i really end up liking is jesus of suburbia and letterbomb
Only insecure people feel ashamed of what they listen.
>>70368743
I forgot to add One For The Kids, but I don't like paper walls
>>70370057
I actually only know one song by Bowie. You make a good point.
And anon, I'm listening to Joji in the present.
