This album would be /mu/core if the band didn't shit the bed creatively after this album.

You know I'm right. This shit was legit one of the most exciting albums to come out at the turn of the century even though it wasn't released in the US til like 5 years after it came out.

OoS is the sound of musicians finding their creative potential and unleashing it with no regards for expectations or rules. It was Muse literally dick slapping every band in the UK at the time.

Absolution was the beginning of them trying to make that sound and turning it into something more commercially palatable.
