OP here. I think he's one of the most interesting artists I've ever discovered. His music makes me wonder what he's really like as a person.

Is he reclusive? Does he have a family? What drives him to make music the way he does? What music does he even listen to? All these sorts of questions

But to answer your question. No, he is not a recluse. He's a 74 year old man with no wife or kids who lives in an apartment in West London. He just makes music slowly.
