it's not. every album from qotsa is bad, and it's because the fucking singer whatever the fuck his name is only has one fucking sound in his voice and it's the same complicated angsty bullshit you find in that one uggo who liked you in high school that probably ended up committing suicide because you didnt respond appropriately to her desperate autistic cries for help. props to the band for the guitar and drum work but the singer absolutely kills the vibe, he killed them crooked vultures too

The production on this album is great.
There's only a handful of good songs on it tho. The rest are filler.

I'm not a huge fan of their studio work, QotSA are fucking amazing live though.

I listened to it the other day and it's a lot less consistent than I remember. Era Vulgaris and Like Clockwork are completely on another level, definitely their two best albums. Right now I'd put the s/t and Rated R above Songs for the Deaf tbqh.
