okay, but what is
>>70322222
Wow
I'm not sure if it classifies as pop, as I usually avoid the genre when I hear about it because of association, but I adore to death some of Xiu Xiu's albums
Will be following this thread, hope people will post their 10s

If you consider Vespertine by Bjork a pop album, then Vespertine by Bjork. But if we're talking more straightforward pop music, then 100% it's Age of Adz by Sufjan Stevens.
Impossible is a 10/10 song and one of my favorite songs ever made. It's the greatest 25 minute long pop song ever recorded.

this one also, though its on the border of what you could say is pop
Is there literally anything better than Pet Sounds? It's probably in the top 5 greatest albums of all time so I doubt there's a better pop album.
>>70322511
Pet Sounds is great but I prefer the extended arrangements and ambient pop pieces on Eureka
>>70322511
I would say that Pet Sounds has 4 amazing pop songs, 1 of the best songs ever recorded, and the rest is kinda lack luster (discounting the instrumentals which are great)
>>70322527
underrated
>>70322548
i couldn't disagree more. every song is beautifully written, arranged, and produced.
one of the very few 10/10 albums.
Futuresex/lovesounds
>>70322632
agreed it's one of the few 10/10s out there
>>70322644
I'm not as obsessed with this record as other people seem to be but I'll be damned if What Goes Around and My Love aren't 2 of the greatest pop singles of its generation
Does pop rock count?
>>70322402
This nigga has gud taste
I would say it's an unpopular opinion on here, but I really do think that Capital Cities' In a Tidal Wave of Mystery is a fantastic pop album and one that has at least something that everyone can like.
Whether it be the base line and dance-ability of Center Stage:

The simple, but elegant melody of Chartreuse:

Or the infectious catchy-ness of Kangaroo Court:

INXS-Kick was a good pop album

>>70322284
Literally the only pop album in this thread
i just want him to release something soon, he's the future of pop
>>70322989
gonna agree with you anon, it's such an effectively executed pop album. also the synth horns are perfect
>>70324584
one of my all-time favorites
Homogenic by Bjork. Imo the epitome of forward-thinking yet accessible/universal music.
Vespertine is also great obviously, but it's less universal I guess.
>>70322163
it's not really a pop record you know?
>>70322989
that album cover looks so similar to infinite sadness
>>70322989
This is nice, thanks!
>>70322905
Same here man I love art angels
>>70322284
This is the correct answer.
>>70324995
he can't be the future if he doesn't release anything
