Im honestly disappointed with how lack luster the album was compared to TKOL or In Rainbows.

Like they went back to their Muh Depression sound but it's mixed with really clean instrumentation and production and for me, it just didnt go well together. Like Amnesiac and Kid A at least had some neat stuff going on despite it being depressing.

Im hoping Ed does a Deakin with the solo album and blows the fuck out of his band's last respected album.

Probably like 2020 desu
They're touring extensively this year, I would expect at least one new song to debut at some point (super collider did on the in rainbows 2008 tour, multiple songs did on the 2012 tkol tour), then a year or two off, then reports that they're recording, then a new album about two years later

HTTT was done hella fast and is probably their best album.
I agree 2020 is a good time estimate but radiohead definitely isn't held back by tours.

Time between In Rainbows and TKOL: 4 years
Time between TKOL and AMSP: 5 years

So the next Radiohead album will be 6 years after AMSP, so sometime in 2022

And I'm not saying they can't record when they're touring, it's just unlikely that they'll ramp up the next cycle before another break for solo projects. It sucks but I'm just glad theyre still together at all at this point

How do you not like HTTT but love amnesiac. The two are very similar in tone and songwriting, although amnesiac is a bit less rock like HTTT.
