Reminder that boring isn't a valid term in music critique

this
I'll admit it's boring, I don't listen to it as much as other suf albums.
But that doesn't mean it's not musically genius and emotinally inspiring
like
it's fine
it's no age of adz or seven swans but it's fine
>>70253889
yes it is
Carrie & Lowell isn't boring tho
It would be 10 times better without that stupid voice filter
go back to bed, will toledo

I realized he pretty much used it 100℅ on the album . Think he meant it to sound more lo fi or make it less raw as the album was

I used to think this actually, but then I started to feel how intimate the album and the lyrical themes are. It's hard to ignore that amount of emotion, which never makes C&L boring at any point.
No Shade may be the greatest song of this decade

I SHOULD'VE KNOWN BETTERRRRRR
i saw him perform it on shrooms and cried, my friend also cried three times and he was sober. his live performances of the songs are incredible

If anything the emotional theme if the album is the first thing you should get.
IMO the instrumentation amazing but overall it's not an album you can listen to all the time

Adz is the most bloated bullshit he's ever put out. The eletronics are absolutely fucking grating and didn't compliment that record at all.
>>70254607
Age Of Adz is just below Illinois. It may even be better
>>70254437
Yeah but it just did the opposite for me.

I listened to Illinois on Avid about a month back and I had never heard something so beautifully vibrant and philisophical. Truly an album and Artist ment for spiritual experiences and for those seeking healing
