I really never got Del or his projects. I mean, I guess the lyrics are quite impressive, but the end product always comes off as extremely corny to me. I'd rather listen to DOOM, but I've even lost interest in him recently.

I'd liken this kind of hip hop to progressive rock, actually. Kinda impressive technically, but not all that experimental or groundbreaking (at this point) and appeals largely to nerdy genre fiction types (no judgement from me, that's just not my thing).
