It's a tie between Guero and sea change for me. Guero is perfectly eclectic, the songwriting was possibly his best work yet. Sea change captured a mood so succinctly, the arrangements were also excellent

Each song was pretty different but contributed to this overarching beautiful melancholic feeling

Mellow > Odelay > One Foot in the Grave > Everything Else

Mellow Gold is his best album it sounds like an acid trip in trailer park, he uses really obscure samples. The music sounds like it's always about to fall apart but stays together, which is its charm. He maintains an atmosphere which Odelay lacks although I like Odelay too. Mellow Gold is his best but I feel people don't like it because it's less accessible and more experimental.

Morning phase was absolutely shit and it could have severely turned me off from Beck if I hadn't listened to anything else he had done.

I checked out Guero though and it changed my entire perception about Beck, it and Sea Change are great pieces of music. I'ts crazy to me that Morning Phase got so much phase in '14

Does anyone feel like Beck probably had an album in the works in around 2013 but either scrapped or postponed it? Just wondering because the three singles he released then (Defriended, I Won't Be Long and Gimme) were all quite musically similar and had similar designs for the covers.
