This is still their best album
The only bad song is We Suck Young Blood, otherwise everything else is top-notch

This is where you're wrong

I definitely agree that it's underrated, but my favorite remains OK Computer.
Don't think it's their best, but you're right that We Suck Young Blood is bad and the rest is really good.

I've always thought Scatterbrain was the worst just because it's so underwhelming. at least We Suck Young Blood has that cool interlude
but yeah it's their best album

why does everyone hate on we suck young blood? i love that song

My least favorite song is Wolf at the Door, and I like We Suck Young Blood

I think you meant to say the only bad song is Backdrifts, friend.

It's their best album, all songs are good, and it's the only Radiohead album with no songs below a 7/10 IMO. Stylistically it's all over the place but the mood is consistent and the songs are on point. Worst thing on it is Punchup and not only does it still fit the mood but dat bassline. We Suck Young Blood only sounds weird coming from Radiohead but it's got a nice little gothic dirge thing going on, it sounds utterly miserable and I dig it.

The fuck is wrong with Backdrifts? I never got what anyone had against that song.

It's not like its terrible but the instrumental fuckery doesn't much go with Thom's voice, it's just not as good as the other ones.
>not In Rainbows

Feels a little too upbeat for me also. But done in a poor way.

Huh, it's always struck me as a pretty cohesive thing. The warbly synths and the imagery always gave me this sort of listless, "staring off into the sky" feeling, as if the people Thom's singing about don't have anything else to do. It's a real downer, not unlike We Suck Young Blood. I mean, the whole album's a downer but Backdrifts moreso than a lot of the other tracks.

I will say the second half of the song is better than the first half I think.
