Most overrated RHCP album imo. I think it has good tracks, but a lot of filler too. Not terrible, I just hear it mentioned often by the rhcp fans I know and don't understand

The production is fucking lifeless on this album Rick Rubin is a hack when it comes to producing rock albums.

This is, imo, the most artful RHCP album. It isn't aimed at trying to find a radio hit, and it's just a solid expression of genuine musical art and skill. Attention to detail is very apparent.
