but honestly unless you have a predisposition to noisy things or meditative-esque music it's understandable to not like loveless. try souvlaki (by slowdive) and nowhere (by ride) and see if those are up your alley more.

in my experience, cannabis is typically less effective for inducing positive psychedelic effects. once you smoke enough to trip off weed, people are usually on edge. LSD is much more relaxed, it's an ideal drug for music appreciate imo.

but yeah you may as well burn one and listen to loveless in the future. really pay attention to what each instrument is doing. some of the beats are pretty fire

I don't have problem with noisy or meditative-esque music, since some albums I love fall into those genres, but I just wasn't blown away by this one, though that's probably because I've only listened to it for the first time. I liked it and consider it a good album, but just don't get the hype, that's all.

I thought it was ok after my first listen
But after 5-10 more times listening to it I really fell in love with it, just takes time

Listen to a couple of other shoegaze albums
nothing in there touches loveless as far as the atmosphere goes

The way you listen really matters
If you're using a low quality file to listen then all you'll here is a vacuum cleaner
If you use a higher quality medium you can actually here things

its the only good shoegaze album

It's pretty weird the first time you listen, but if you're like me it'll definitely grow on you

It really grows on you, the first time i listened to it was not so special too. Now it's one of my favorites.
