Post your favourite album and why
Mine is "XXX" by Danny Brown. I don't know why but Danny Brown is the only artist I can listen to all his songs and enjoy, I know he's not anywhere close to legendary but I think he's style is dope
LR just because no other album in the game so perfectly mixed pop and hip-hop, to a point where it almost pisses me off that nothing's come close.
It also has this really warm and inviting atmosphere, Brion's lush instrumentation is certainly responsible for this. It's kind of beautiful.
Post your answers here, I want to know

Yea DB is great and that album has been in rotation since it came out. I even bought the CD.

I just bought the vinyl, I'm actually still waiting for it to come in, I'm slowly trying to collect all his vinyls, I'm having a real hard time finding his album "The Hybrid" on vinyl

Lately all I've been listening to is Danny, none of the new music I've heard lately has really had staying power with me. I still can't get into Danny's older stuff though specifically Hot Soup

I thought his latest album was some of the best music he's ever made. I still appreciate his older albums quite a lot. He's become one of my favorite artists recently.
I like sound collage stuff
I don't like rap tho
cant put my finger quite on whats so appealing about this album for me
Im thinking MBDTF, seems like maximalism at its finest.
Also like Ready to Die and 36 Chambers, just classic rap projects with classics front to back. Good Kid Mad City is what I'd probably rank 2nd after MBDTF

Almost forgot about this too. If i had to pick a more "unpopular" project, this would probably be it

If I had to pick an absolute favorite, I'd probably go with pic related.
Mm.. Food, TLET, and Aquemini are all close though.
Yeah it's tough to decide.
And I don't know, I think in the future Brown will be held in extremely high regard. The only reason he's even kind of slept on now is his grating ass voice he uses
There is no other album like this.

damn this shit hot
By far Jay's best album. Best production and sample choices. The song with Biggie is amazing in every way imaginable. All around a perfect album save for a pretty weak last track.

Same here. Atrocity Exhibition has been on repeat since it dropped, got up to 680 plays on it on last fm. I hope to see a similar project in the future.
