anyone else feel like text on album art looks tacky?

it really does, I remove the text from every album art in my library and I have thousands of albums

I think anything BUT text on an album cover looks tacky.

I think it can look bad if it's a shit font or colour that doesn't gel with the artwork, or if it's poorly placed or is too large.

But no, I wouldn't say text is inherently tacky. It just has to be done properly, and when it is it can become a cool part of the band's visual flavour.
