I think they could pull it off as well.
i'd love that but andy has stated on numerous occasions it will never happen
though they totally fucking should

To be honest I'd just be happy if Andy and Colin continued making music with other people, but Colin's more or less fallen off the radar since they broke up, and Andy's released a few collaborations (all pretty good desu) but nothing in the same vein of songwriting as in XTC

Oh hell yeah, Andy's contribution to the Monkees newest record was excellent. I think he even said on his twitter that he's written shitloads of songs but has mainly turned to giving them to other songwriters. I presume mainly because he feels lost without a band dynamic.
Honestly, a new XTC album would be great even if it was just Andy, with Dave and Colin helping out on guitars and bass.
The brief Replacements reunion was good. I never got to see their tour but judging from the clips online they sounded great. Idk what they've got in the tank still songwriting wise but I still really want to see them live.
like its been said andy says it won't happen, but i'd wish they'd get together at least for that documentary they're working on. i'd love to see them together regardless of if they're making music or not
