25 years later and it's still light years ahead of anything today

i'd like some recs too. album is underrated af on rym. their second album is fantastic too.
Big beats are the best, get high all the time

Basement Jaxx, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, and Underworld have some similar stuff.
Ahead of their time, yet sound so dated nowadays. Weird, huh?

Strangely I think it adds to it, as >>70108515 said it does take me back to a funkier time, even though I wasn't even born when it was released. The beats do sound like it was made from the stock electronic sounds of the time, but the sampling uses were pretty damn advanced. It was one of my first big beat/rave albums, which might be why I'm so fond of it. But it just does rave so damn well. Have any more modern albums similar to this?

nothing compares to Experience
not sure if it is "ahead of anything today", but a killer hardcore album for sure (perhaps my favorite along Altern 8's Full on mask hysteria; not counting compilations and EPs of course). people tend to prefer their following 2 albums, but this one is their best imo, tracks like Out of space or Everybody in the place are killer

jilted > experience >> fat of the land for me. All great albums but jilted just edges it for me.
the tracks you mentioned are prob my favourites but songs like your love and hyperspeed are also killer. just so many fantastic bangers one after another on there it's unreal.
i'll need to check out Altern 8 as well if they're similar to this. really want more of this album and jilted desu.
