When I first heard liquid swords I turned it off after about a minute
I realized the album is pretty dark and its themes are not as pleasant as the mellow and catchy beat would make you believe, some of the best tracks from the band on this, imho.
Used to really hate all the audio sampling, but fuck me Directions is catchy
thought it to be pretty boring and unengaging at first but then IT HIT

Loveless
I had a headache after listening to Sometimes,I left it with 2 or 3 tracks left to finish but I couldnt
ironically I liked a bit Sometimes checking it a bit after
however I didnt give it another listen until 7 months later,I hated it with a passion and gave it a full listen with headphones, enjoyed it and was actually pretty good
and guess what the 1st album I listened this year at full...it shows how much I appreciate it now

Listening to some albums without a good sound system or headphones can be a dealbreaker, Loveless is one of those because theres so much going on
Only bc the vocals sounded like ass but I got used to them

how dare you insult the late great layne staley?
I always got turned off by this because I could never get past "Friends" (I thought it was dumb af) but i gave it another chance when i read that brian considers it his favourite Beach Boy record and from there it's become a big fave (still not as good as surf's up tho)
thought it was overrated the first couple of listens
i still think vespertine is better
