There were a lot of other types of videos kind of running with that idea. Gwen Stafani had a video with that aesthetic too, as well as Maroon 5. The Maroon 5 video was so much of this type of narrative that I'd misremembered it for a while as having Eric Roberts play the rich husband, but in that case it was a different guy
