I've come around to Korn, but I don't like any of the other bands. People swear by the Deftones though, maybe there's something there for me.

I like Maximum the Hormone. They combine pop-punk and nu metal in a way that somehow makes both genres not suck.
This album teaser probably shows that stylistic variability the best. The vocal melodies on this album are really great in genera during the pop-punk/rock parts.

I like SOAD and early Korn too, although I always thought of SOAD as like alternative rock or something. Serj's vocals are really crazy of course but the riffs never seemed that metal to me.

Oh. I was gonna say the few times I tried deftones I didn't like the guy's vocals, but I decided that there was really no need to say that. Forgot to delete the reply link though so I'll say it anyway.

SOAD seem better than many other numetal bands but they're too novelty and wacky or something for me to want to listen to. Like Zappa. The goofy melodramatic voice the guy does between the sing-shouting stuff.
